BlueScope Steel
Iron Country sheds are framed with BlueScope high-tensile steel. BlueScope is Australia's largest steel manufacturer and the material underpinning the quality of the Australian building industry for decades.
High-tensile steel allows engineers to design lighter, stronger frames compared to mild steel. This reduces material use without compromising structural performance.
BlueScope steel is manufactured to consistent quality standards and backed by BlueScope's product warranties where applicable. Warranty terms depend on the specific product, finish and application — ask us for details relevant to your project.
COLORBOND® Cladding
COLORBOND® steel is available for roofing, wall cladding and trim. COLORBOND® is a pre-painted steel product manufactured by BlueScope to perform in Australian conditions — UV resistance, coastal durability and thermal performance.
A range of standard COLORBOND® colours is available. Colour appearance varies between screens and physical products — we recommend obtaining a physical colour swatch before making your final selection.
Sheeting profiles available include low rib (Corrugated-style) and high rib (Trimdek-style). Profile availability varies by application and supplier.
Engineering to Australian Standards
All Iron Country sheds are engineered to applicable Australian standards, including AS/NZS 1170 (structural loading), AS 4600 (cold-formed steel structures) and AS 4100 (hot-rolled steel structures) as relevant to the project.
Engineering is completed by qualified structural engineers via the HiTen CFBS platform. Site-specific calculations cover wind region, terrain category, soil conditions and occupancy class.
Engineering documentation is provided with every order and is suitable for submission to local councils and certifiers as part of the building approval process.
Component Suppliers
Iron Country sources components from established Australian building product suppliers. Doors, fasteners, insulation and accessories are specified to suit the engineering and design requirements of each project.
